The French luxury goods magnate became the number one richest taking over Tesla boss Elon Musk last year in December. At $226 billion net worth the 74 year old billionaire is now the third person after Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk to cross the elusive net worth.

Bernard Arnault first showed up on the Forbes Billionaires List in 1997. The luxury magnate was worth $3.1 billion during that year. He climbed the top 20 ranks in 2005 with a net worth of $17 billion. From 2011 till 2018 he was the fourth richest. From 2019 till last year Bernard was the third richest in the world.

With a net worth of $188.2 billion the Twitter boss is at second rank behind Bernard, followed by Jeff Bezos at the third spot with a net worth of $124.2 billion. Elon Musk had peaked at $219 billion in 2022. If not for his tumultuous trading of Twitter and dip in Tesla stocks last year, Musk was touted to cross $300 billion net worth soon. However, the SpaceX boss was momentarily the number one again this year before slipping back.
