The services provided by Twitter Inc. were unavailable for thousands of users on Monday. According to Downdetector, which monitors outages by compiling status updates from a variety of sources including user-submitted faults on its platform, there were more than 3,600 incidents of individuals reporting problems with the social networking site that is managed by Elon Musk.

The cause of the problem is not known and Twitter does not have an operational PR department. When approached with press inquiries, Twitter responds using only a poop emoji, making it difficult to determine when the issue will be resolved or whether a particular engineer is responsible for causing a major malfunction.
The timing of the outage is noteworthy because it coincides with an increase in the ease of signing up for Mastodon or Bluesky accounts. Meanwhile, Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter’s parent company, has not commented on the possibility of bot followers or Twitter Blue subscriptions, despite acknowledging that Tesla now has 20 million followers on the platform.

A statement from Twitter was requested, but there was no immediate response from the company. Reddit users have voiced their dissatisfaction with the website after claiming that it abruptly logged them out of their accounts and prevented them from signing back in.
