Akash Nigam, an Indian CEO of ‘Geneis’ a Gen Z company based out of the United States, is spending $2,400 a month on ChatGPT Plus subscriptions for all his 120 employees. The company builds a custom avatars ecosystem for Web3.0 based users. The Metaverse company empowers the users to create their unique digital identities with Avatars, and design a variety of Avatar fashions.
During the month of March, Nigam approached his staff to gear up to learn more about OpenAI’s chatbot. The entire team ranging from finance, to design, to R&D, to accounting, and engineering, were involved. The bottomline was to improve the productivity of the company by automating workflow that included monotonous tasks. Speaking with the Insider, Nigam remarks that although he’s very frugal and stingy by nature, the whole ChatGPT thing is for the greater good of the company. The CEO claims that he is already seeing great acceleration in tasks across the board.

The Geneis’ R&D team deploys ChatGPT to debug and resolve math and coding related queries. Other teams seek the chatbot’s help to generate scripts for presentations, produce legal documents, creative briefs and such. Nigam remarks that ChatGPT is helping the company create a technical roadmap. He states an example of building a strategy for launching a product which normally would take hours of brainstorming with colleagues. ChatGPT can do this in a jiffy. It helps organize other things better while not worrying about mundane resource hungry tasks. The CEO believes that ChatGPT would reduce cost and help him run the company with fewer employees.
