In an exciting partnership, Jio has joined forces with Luxembourg’s Société Européenne des Satellites (SES) to tap into their medium earth orbit (MEO) satellites, specifically O3b and O3b mPOWER. This collaboration enables the delivery of satellite-based fiber services, setting the stage for high-speed broadband connections from space. SES currently boasts a constellation of over 70 satellites positioned across two separate orbits.

Currently, this innovative service is already up and running in four of the most remote regions in India, including Gir in Gujarat, Korba in Chhattisgarh, Nabarangpur in Odisha, and ONGC Jorhat in Assam.
