The Internet, meanwhile, erupted in memefest over yet another unruly incident of a drunk passenger peeing on a co-passenger. Here are a handful of their appalled, amused, and angered reactions, peppered with memes.

Now that another incident “peegate” has happened, I remember how a fellow journalist and I were nervous during a long-haul flight while traveling business class (privilege?) recently about being peed over. Not kidding! As if air travel wasn’t already anxiety inducing!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome onboard Flight 4B7 with service from Mumbai to New York. There are five toilets on this plane. One at the front, two in the middle and two at the back. The seat next to you is not a toilet. I repeat…#PeeFlightAnnouncement #PeeGate #peeinginpublic

The Nov 2022 incident was reported in January 2023, where an exec of an MNC (Wells Fargo) allegedly peed over an elderly woman on an Air India flight . The accused was nabbed after a manhunt. Air India’s pilot was suspended for 30 days, while Air India was slapped with a hefty Rs 30 lakh fine by the DGCA.
