OnePlus is gearing up for the release of its OnePlus Watch 2, approximately three years after unveiling its first smartwatch in 2021. According to Max Jambor, a user on X (formerly on Twitter), OnePlus is set to launch the Watch 2 in 2024, featuring a circular display.

The report emphasizes OnePlus’s new signature circular design, which is being incorporated into all of its upcoming products. This design element is expected to extend to devices like the OnePlus Open and the OnePlus 12, possibly referring to the camera arrangement on these devices.

Compared to its predecessor, the Watch 2 is anticipated to offer improved features. Notably, its circular design sets it apart from Oppo’s smartwatches, which predominantly feature a rectangular design when running on WearOS. The original OnePlus Watch operated on a different platform, limiting its capabilities, and was priced more affordably than WearOS-powered counterparts.
Details about the hardware and software capabilities of the OnePlus Watch 2 remain undisclosed at this time. OnePlus has also introduced special editions of its smartwatch, including the OnePlus Harry Potter limited edition, which is still available for purchase on the official website.
Following OnePlus’s typical launch cycle, the Watch 2 is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2023, alongside the company’s next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12. This smartphone is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
As of now, the OnePlus Watch is not available for sale in India. However, the company offers a more affordable OnePlus Nord Watch priced at Rs 3,999 for customers interested in a OnePlus smartwatch.
