Accomplished entrepreneur, Bollywood star, author, and columnist Twinkle Khanna’s latest satirical blog in TOI takes a jibe at the coronation, a couple of desi fugitives, and Elon Musk. The ‘Mrs Funnybones’ took a dig at King Charles and Camilla’s coronation ceremony by recalling a spicy bite of their bedroom conversation from the late 1980s. Poking fun at the cultural zeitgeist of our times, Twinkle slams the desis obsession over the coronation like a lovelorn ex who stalks the former’s socials to keep a tab. In an unprecedented move at this coronation, Koh-i-Noor, the most invaluable diamond with a bloodied history, was ditched from the ceremonial crowning of Queen Camilla. While there were pockets of voices that rallied for the return of one of the world’s largest diamonds back to India, Twinkle quipped her demand dipped in sarcasm. She writes that she would
request our former colonialists to return not just the Koh-i-Noor but also (as requested earlier), two ‘Anmol Ratans,’ – Vijay Mallya, and Lalit Modi along with the loot.”

In the column, Twinkle recalls a leaked tape of conversation between the then Prince Charles and Camilla. Charles allegedly told her that he would rather be reborn as her tampon. She jibes that kids won’t take it ‘be ambitious and work hard’ seriously anymore citing Charles’ ascension as a king who’s mere ambition was to become a tampon.
Twinkle also wrote about desi brown munda Rishi Sunak, and his mother-in-law Sudha Murthy’s recent remark. Sudha had said that her daughter had made her hubby the PM of UK. While netizens slammed Sudha for going overboard, Twinkle kinda relates. The actress writes that behind every man’s success is a woman who flags if something is wrong, ensuring they succeed.
