In a comprehensive nationwide search spanned three months, iQOO appointed Shwetank Pandey as their inaugural Chief Gaming Officer. Hailing from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Shwetank, a 23-year-old gaming enthusiast, stood out among over 60,000 applicants. His selection marks a significant milestone as one of India’s youngest Chief Gaming Officers, solidifying his role within the iQOO team.

Shwetank’s appointment comes with a competitive salary of Rs 10 lakh for a duration of six months. His selection resulted from an exhaustive evaluation process that scrutinized his Gameplay prowess, Gaming Knowledge, and Personality & Communication skills.

Originating from the quaint town of Kanpur and raised as the son of a police officer, Shwetank’s devotion to gaming and esports has always burned fervently. In a captivating turn of events early in his journey, he dedicated an entire year to a job aimed solely at amassing funds for a new phone, a tool essential for indulging in his beloved game, BGMI.

Once he successfully cleared his EMIs, he fearlessly parted ways with the job, even turning down a promotion that offered a considerable salary hike. Going beyond conventional choices, he went on to forsake his MBA studies, demonstrating his commitment to prioritizing his gaming passion above all else.

In addition to the Chief Gaming Officer position, iQOO has welcomed two regional CGOs into its dynamic fold. Aojesh Shrivastava, hailing from Delhi, and Battu Nikhil Reddy (popularly known as Shoutout YT) from Hyderabad, has been chosen to collaborate closely with Shwetank. Their primary responsibilities include devising strategic plans, enriching community involvement, and guaranteeing an unparalleled gaming journey for iQOO users. As a testament to their crucial contributions, each of them will be granted a compensation of Rs 2.5 lakhs for their integral roles.
