Ever since Apple shifted its iPhone launch event from June to September, the company has adhered to a consistent routine. Typically, the announcement of the new iPhones takes place during a special event held on a Tuesday or Wednesday. In the case of the iPhone 15 series, this event is scheduled for September 12th, a Tuesday.

Following this event, the first Friday after that marks the commencement of online preorders for the new iPhones. For the iPhone 15 series, this date falls on September 15th.

As for the official release date of the new iPhones and the day Apple starts shipping preordered devices to customers, it aligns with the second Friday following the keynote. Consequently, the official iPhone 15 release date is set for September 22nd, 2023.

It’s worth noting that Apple has maintained this release pattern consistently, even in years when certain iPhone models faced delays.

According to leaks, the forthcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will introduce new colour options, including Midnight (Black), Starlight (White), Light Green, Yellow, Blue, and Orange (Coral Pink). Conversely, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models will offer colour choices like Dark Blue, Silver-Gray, Space Black, and Titanium.
