Take a look at Google’s brand new top-of-the-line flagship device. At its annual I/O developer conference on Wednesday in Mountain View, California, Google unveiled the Pixel Fold. With the release of the Pixel Fold, Google enters the foldable smartphone market, which has previously only been controlled by Samsung.
The Pixel Fold is based on the same folding design as the Oppo Find N2, but it’s packed with Google technology on the inside. The Pixel Fold is slimmer and more compact than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4. When you unfold the screen, you’ll find a 7.6-inch OLED 2K display running at 120 frames per second.

The 5.8-inch OLED display is on the outside (once again with a 120Hz refresh rate). Gorilla Glass Victus was used for both the display and the back of the phone, promising greater durability. The foldable phone has a feature called “split-view” that lets you utilize two applications at once.
A new tabletop mode has been created by Google, allowing users to position the camera on a tablet and shoot close-up shots. The foldable phone boasts a 48-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide angle lens with 10.8 megapixels, and a telephoto lens with 10.8 megapixels and 5X optical magnification. While the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have comparable camera technology and should produce similar images, the Pixel 7 Pro is the superior camera phone.

A 9.5-megapixel camera is located on the front, while an 8-megapixel camera is located on the inside bezel for use when the device is open. The Pixel Fold has 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal space, wireless charging, an IPX8 rating for water resistance, and the Tensor G2 processor. There’s also a fingerprint reader, however, it’s capacitive and located on the side of the phone rather than the back as on earlier Pixel phones. While Google’s Pixel Fold is similar to other foldable smartphones, its software is optimized for larger displays, giving it an advantage over the competition.
