During Google I/O 2023, the Pixel 7a was unveiled in all four colors, alongside the Pixel Buds A series in a new colorway. While the light blue shade had been leaked before, it was revealed that Google had named it “Sea” instead of the anticipated “Arctic Blue.”
The new Pixel Buds A series will also feature the “Sea” color, which is also used for the Pixel 7a. The Pixel Buds A series will now have four color options, including Charcoal, Clearly White, Dark Olive, and Sea. Only Sea and Charcoal share their names with the color options available for the Pixel 7a.
Apart from the new color, there are no other changes to the Pixel Buds A series. In a review, the earbuds received a rating of four out of five stars due to their comfortable fit, water-resistant rating of IPX4, great touch controls, and spatial audio, which made them stand out.

Despite their positive features, the Pixel Buds A series has some drawbacks. One significant downside is the absence of noise cancellation and transparency mode, along with weak bass and audio-visual lag on Android. Additionally, the earbuds tend to lose clarity in noisy environments. Nonetheless, considering their price of $99, they are still a good purchase, and the addition of the new color looks appealing.
