BharatPe’s former COO, Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl, has reportedly resigned from the fintech giant. Bahl has been associated with BharatPe since 2020 as the Head of Operations. He was recently reassigned as the Chief Business Officer. Citing sources, The Economic Times (via LiveMint) reported that Bahl would be moving to pursue his entrepreneurial passion. Before his stint with BharatPe, Dhruv Bahl had worked for Roadzen, Airtel, Paytm, Bain & Company, and Fortis Healthcare. Per his LinkedIn bio, Bahl earned his BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. He has an MSc in Financial Engineering from Cass Business School, as well as an MBA from INSEAD. There’s no official word from BharatPe about either Bahl’s exit or his successor. Bahl’s departure comes on the heels of other high profile exits, mostly from the tech and product teams.

Meanwhile, reacting to the news, the former founder and boss of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover, took potshots at the company. The author of Doglapan remarked in shuddh desi Haryanvi

Both BharatPe and Ashneer Grover have had an ugly online spat over the course of two years now, following the latter’s unceremonious exit. Grover and his wife were accused of fund misappropriation, among many other allegations, by BharatPe. The Grovers have been slapped with a lawsuit worth Rs 88.67 crore. Even as the case is ongoing in the Delhi High Court, both parties have been asked to maintain online decorum.
