The Musk vs. Zuck saga continues as the Tesla boss takes another dig at Meta’s platform, Instagram. Responding to a user who remarked that Instagram and Onlyfans have only one difference: their names! ‘Pretty Much,’ X Corps’ billionaire boss replied to the tweet, in agreement. For the unversed, Onlyfans is a subscription-based adult portal based out of the UK. The site is primarily used by adult content creators.

Even as Mark Zuckerberg unveiled Twitter’s rival app Threads in July 2023, Elon Musk couldn’t help but diss the platform. When a user called Thread a half-baked copy of Twitter that is harping on Instagram’s popularity, Musk remarked that the photo sharing app is just a platform for thirst pics.

Accurate assessment. Threads is just Instagram minus pics, which makes no sense, given that thirst pics are the main reason people use that app.

How many times have you read comments on Insta pics & wished there were more? Personally, never.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Threads and Instagram are not the only apps to have faced Musk’s mockery. Reacting to Jimmy Wales’ donation request for Wikipedia, Musk quipped that he would donate a billion dollars if they changed their name to _ickipedia.

I will give them a billion dollars if they change their name to Dickipedia https://t.co/wxoHQdRICy

In August, the billionaire took potshots as Microsoft acquired professional networking platform LinkedIn. Musk wrote that the cringe level of LinkedIn is so high that he would make its competitor cooler. Soon, X Corp. rolled out its job listing feature called XHiring.

People send me LinkedIn links sometimes, but the cringe level is so high that I just can’t bring myself to use it, so I ask for the resume or bio to be emailed.

We will make sure that the X competitor to LinkedIn is cool.
