Just a couple of days after opening its first-ever store in India, apple now opens a second store in Select CityWalk mall in Delhi’s Saket area. The Apple store in Delhi is now open for everyone, and just like on its inaugural opening in Mumbai, CEO Tim Cook was also present at the Delhi store. As of this week, Cook is having a busy schedule, including a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The New Apple Store at Select CityWalk

In recent years, Apple’s presence in the Indian smartphone market has grown significantly, and the long queues outside the stores are a witness to this. During the store’s opening, Tim Cook took selfies with the public. The Apple store will be different from other stores where Apple products are sold as it will house a complete line of Apple products with services such as Apple Pickup.

Interestingly, Apple, in a press release, claims that the new store runs on a hundred percent renewable energy contributing to the policy of sustainability. The staff of the new Apple store consists of 70 members from 18 states of India and can speak over 15 different languages.

During his Delhi visit, Cook also visited the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy and Lodhi’s Art District. Following his meeting with Prime Minister Modi, Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted that they shared a vision for the positive impact of technology on India’s future. Cook emphasized Apple’s commitment to growth and investment in India, including in the areas of education, developers, manufacturing, and the environment.
